Fika [Fee-ka] is a social phenomenon and one that is quickly spreading the world.
Originating in Sweden, it's translated to mean 'coffee with friends', but it really means much more than that.
It is considered important and a legitimate reason to slow down, set aside some quality time to spend with friends and to enjoy the good things in life.
We work to create and provide co-living homes that give landlords and tenants alike the opportunity to do just that.
Sam's background is in business and sales working in several roles within various industries.
Sam initially developed an interest and passion for property some years ago, and with several investments himself, naturally lead to the creation of Fika in 2017.
Sam mainly focuses on overseeing the lettings side of the business, but also the operations, systems and processes that enable us to stay compliant and provide an efficient service to the landlords we work with and the tenants we accommodate.
Kiera previously worked as an Estate & Letting Agent, and Branch Manager, for various agencies gaining a vast amount of experience about property.
With her own mixed property portfolio, and strongly believing there was a better way to deliver HMO services, Kiera joined Fika as co-ownership and Director in 2022, merging her own HMO management business within.
Kiera mainly focuses on the finance side of the business, along with overseeing the management of landlords' properties, ensuring rents and paid (and chased if not!) and that maintenance issues are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
Maddison joins us in her first full time job and is extremely keen to learn about property management, studying a Level 2 degree in Property Management, before moving onto Level 3 once complete, and is also NRLA accredited already.
Maddison is continuously learning about HMO legislation and assisting in the day-to-day of the lettings and management sides of the business, expanding her knowledge and becoming more competent each and every day.
Julie has many years of lettings experience having worked for several large letting agencies.
As a small portfolio landlord herself, Julie's responsibilities are arranging and conducting viewings, and then onboarding and checking in the most reliable and trustworthy tenants to accommodate.
Julie also handles the check-out process, ensuring tenancy changeovers run smoothly.
Pamela is an expert is all things administration and is responsible for all the paperwork involved in onboarding and offboarding tenants, including the tenant referencing, and right to rent checks, handling the deposits and tenancy agreements, and also ensuring that maintenance certificates are renewed and issued on time, helping to keep the properties and tenancies we manage complaint at all times.
Our vision is to improve the way that HMO lettings and management services are delivered to landlords and tenants alike, therein continuing to build upon and grow a profitable business that is valued by our clients and respected by our competitors.
Our goal is to help as many landlords as possible keep their voids to a minimum and profits to a maximum, allowing them more time to focus on and enjoy the financial rewards of their investments.
We promise to be friendly, professional, proactive, courteous and honest in our approach whilst being accountable for our actions at all times.
